During the tribute to reggae legend Bob Marley at the 2013 Grammy Awards, you may have heard echoes of Sting's former band the Police in Bruno Mars' soul-soaked "Locked Out of Heaven" — the syncopated chirps and the frenetic sonic echoes of Synchronicity are shamelessly (and addictively) shot throughout the song. And Mars has even called himself out on the fact that the explosive song owes its musical roots to the Police.

"I grew up listening to the Police. I grew up performing in bars, singing Police songs," Bruno told MTV News in 2012. "I remember performing a song like 'Roxanne,' and you play those first couple of chords, and you hit that first note, and you watch the whole bar ignite."

Bruno went bigger than just blowing up a bar at the Grammys on Sunday night (February 10). He lit up the entire Staples Center, diving head-first into an electrifying version of "Locked Out of Heaven" during a retro performance worthy of a "Soul Train" special.

Bruno Mars está prestes a lançar o segundo clipe de "Unorthodox Jukebox". A música escolhida é "When I Was You Man".

Aguarde! Falta pouco, e ainda vem acompanhado de concurso cultural.

É hoje que Bruno Mars se despede do Japão, onde estava desde o dia 20, divulgando seu "Unorthodox Jukebox".

Entre os compromissos do artista por lá, rolou uma participação no programa de TV "Music Station", onde ele e os Hooligans apresentaram um medley com "Just The Way You Are" e "Locked Out Of Heaven". 

Bruno ainda deixou uma lembrança ao programa: um desenho. Olha ele aí:

Um dos momentos mais felizes para os fãs de Tóqui, porém, foi o show que rolou no Garden Hall. No set list, as novíssimas músicas de "Unorthodox Jukebox" e, claro, clássicos como "Grenade".

E Bruno ainda ganhou presentes no Japão. Um deles, ele mostrou em suas redes sociais hoje. É uma camiseta com a frase "The Sex Dragon" em japonês na frente e inglês nas costas.

Agora, Bruno volta para os Estados Unidos. Na agenda, apenas ensaios com os Hooligans.
